Childhood Apraxia of Speech/Phonology Summer 2016 Intensive Therapy


In this summer of 2016, rather than offering an apraxia camp program, Tip of the Tongue Speech and Language is offering a 4-week (or longer) intensive therapy program for children who have significant articulation, phonological, or motor speech concerns.  The program is individualized and appropriate for any young child age 3 or above who has difficulty in making him- or herself understood while speaking.

Emphasis in therapy, as appropriate, includes correct production of speech sounds, rate of speech, word and sentence stress, sentence production, and grammar.  Therapy also includes recognition of patterns in speaking, such as the presence of final sounds in words, sounds produced in the front vs. the back of the mouth, sounds produced with a lot of air vs. those with airflow cut off, etc.

This program is offered at a significantly reduced hourly rate and is available for a limited time. Tip of the Tongue is offering the following options:


For Individual Child:
1 ½ hours per day, twice weekly for 4 weeks = $600* 

*Half due at first session, balance due by last session.  Clients may choose to extend number of weeks for $150/week.  No refunds for missed sessions, but will provide a maximum of one 1 ½ hour make-up session.
 
 
For Group Session (2 Children):
2 hours per day, twice weekly for 4 weeks = $600 per child* 

*Half due at first session, balance due by last session.  Please note that group sessions may not be available.  In the case of a group session that becomes unavailable due to attrition, therapy will default to ½ hours per day, twice weekly.  No refunds for missed sessions, but will provide a maximum of one individual 1 ½ hour make-up session.
