What is SCAMP?
SCAMP is a cost-effective 6-week Intensive Speech and Language Camp Program for children ages 3-7.
The program is led by Rhonda J. Banford, M.A.T., CCC-SLP, ASHA Certified Speech-Language Pathologist, who has years of experience in treating Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), phonological disorders, and expressive language delays.
It is designed with fun in mind, and uses evidence-based techniques to improve the quality and quantity of each participant’s speech.
Each child receives personalized whole group, small group, and individual therapy. Low teacher-child ratio & small class size ensures maximum “talk time.”
Whether your child talks little or a lot, this program will help to make his/her speech more intelligible.
When is SCAMP?

The best candidates for SCAMP have the following characteristics:
- They need a boost in speech and expressive language skills.
- Their receptive language skills are at the level of a child of at least three years of age.
- Their cognitive and social-emotional-behavioral skills are at the level of a child of at least three years of age.
- They have the ability to transition appropriately from one activity to another with minimal assistance.
- They have a willingness to follow adult directives.
- They like to interact with others, play games, listen to stories, eat a snack, and have FUN!
